Huawei Climbs to Global No.13 for International Patent Applications

According to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) , Huawei doubled the number of patent applications filed in 2006 over the previous year and is now ranked 13th, moving up 24 places, among companies with the most number of applications. The fastest growth in filings under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) in 2006 came from China and Korea. This was reported in the international media, including International Herald Tribune, Moneycentral.msn.com, Forbes.com, Chron.com and Businessweek.com.
